This page explains what data we process, why and on what legal basis — and how you can object to processing or request erasure.

The controller is the natural or legal person who, alone or jointly with others, determines the purposes and means of the processing of personal data.
2 Your rights
You have the right at any time to obtain information free of charge about your stored data, its origin, its recipients and the purpose of processing (Art. 15 GDPR).
You also have the right to rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20) and to object to processing (Art. 21 GDPR).
Erasure on request
If you would like us to delete your data, an informal message to info@golftempel.de is enough. We will then delete all the data we hold about you — including your booking history and advertising and analytics identifiers — unless a statutory retention obligation prevents this. Commercial and tax law requires us to keep invoice and booking records for up to ten years; for that period this data is restricted rather than deleted, and destroyed afterwards.
You can withdraw any consent you have given at any time with effect for the future. This does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before the withdrawal.
Right to lodge a complaint
You have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority, in particular in the federal state where you live. The authority responsible for us is the Berlin Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information.
3 Hosting
This website is hosted by Framer B.V., Rokin 75, 1012 KL Amsterdam, the Netherlands. When you visit the site, Framer automatically records server log files, including your IP address, browser type, operating system, the page visited and the time of access.
The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. We have a legitimate interest in providing our website securely and reliably. We have concluded a data processing agreement with Framer pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR.
4 Booking and payment
Bookings are made through an embedded booking window provided by SimplyBook.me (UAB Simplybook, Lithuania). When you book, SimplyBook.me processes the data you enter — usually your name, email address, phone number, chosen appointment and booked service.
Payments are processed via SBPay.me and the providers Stripe and PayPal. Payment data is transmitted directly to the respective payment service provider; we do not receive full card details ourselves.
The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR — processing is necessary for the performance of the contract. The booking window only loads when you open the page containing the booking.
5 Access code
Our facility is unstaffed. After a paid booking, we automatically generate a time-limited access code and send it to your email address. For this we use a locking system from Nuki and the automation service Make (Celonis).
This involves processing your name, email address and booking slot. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR. The code expires after your slot.
The facility is under video surveillance. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR; our legitimate interest lies in protecting an unstaffed facility against damage and theft.
6 Cookies and consent
Our website uses cookies. We use technically necessary cookies on the basis of Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR and Section 25(2) of the German Telecommunications Digital Services Data Protection Act (TDDDG); they are required for the site to work.
All other cookies — in particular for analytics and advertising — are only set if you have agreed beforehand via our consent banner (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR, Section 25(1) TDDDG). You can change or withdraw your choice at any time via the cookie settings.
7 Analytics and advertising
Google Analytics, Google Ads and Google Tag Manager
If you have given your consent, we use services provided by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. We only load Google Tag Manager after you have consented, because loading it already transmits your IP address to Google. It controls which of the other services are delivered.
Google Analytics collects information about how our website is used, such as pages visited, time spent and approximate location. Google Ads measures whether a click on one of our ads led to a booking, transmitting a click identifier (GCLID) and the booking value for this purpose.
The sole legal basis is your consent under Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR. Data may be transferred to the USA; Google is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. Without your consent, no measurement takes place.
8 Maps
On our Getting here and Golftempel Lichtenberg pages we embed maps from Google Maps (Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland). The map only loads once you have consented to the “External media” category or requested it by clicking “Load map”. Only then is your IP address transmitted to Google; a transfer to the USA is possible, and Google is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. The legal basis is your consent under Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR and Section 25(1) TDDDG. You can withdraw it at any time via the cookie settings.
9 Social media
We link to our Instagram profile (Meta Platforms Ireland Limited). The link is a simple reference — data is only transmitted to Meta once you click it and open the platform.
10 Contacting us
If you contact us by email or phone, we process your details to handle your enquiry. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR for contract-related enquiries, otherwise Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. We delete this data once your enquiry has been dealt with, unless a retention obligation applies.
11 Storage period
Unless a specific period is stated above, we store your data until the purpose of processing no longer applies. We keep booking and invoice data for up to ten years because of commercial and tax law obligations.
12 Encryption
For security reasons, this site uses TLS encryption. You can recognise an encrypted connection by the padlock symbol in your browser's address bar. When encryption is active, the data you send us cannot be read by third parties.
